The Samsung ST100 is one of the latest Samsung models that includes the 2View feature or dual view camera – as well as the 3.5 inch screen on the rear there is also a small monitoring screen on the front of the camera. This makes it ideal for users that need to update their facebook or other online profiles reguarly as this feature is great for taking self portraits. The front screen is also excellent when taking a group shot photo at arms length.
The lens has a 5x optical zoom which covers the equivalent of 35-175mm. The picture quality has the capability of 14 megapixels and saves JPG files in Normal, Fine and Superfine modes.
The movie mode is capable of recording at 1280 by 720 pixels at 30fps. The ST100 also features the face detections modes which for example will only take a photo if a person is smiling. An anti-blink feature is also present by taking 2 quick photos together so that your pictures don’t finish up with peoples eyes closed.
There are various scene modes to choose from that allow the camera to choose the correct settings for the conditions, including a smart auto mode which will automatically detect a scene and choose for you.
The St100 has a rechargeable BP-70A Li-ion battery which will take at least 300 pictures before requiring a recharge (including using the flash).

Just got this camera yesterday & love it so far! I orginally was going to stick with SONY digital cameras because I had a cybershot. It broke when I dropped it while the lens was out. I liked the SONY TX9 because of its weather/water proof feature but then I remembered SAMSUNG featured dualview. I compared the two & both basically had all the same features but I liked the SAMSUNG more!
Then came the ordering. I thought I could buy the camera just off of the SAMSUNG website but couldn’t. I was first hesitant with ordering this off Amazon but am happy I did! DELL.com wanted this digital camera for $100 more!

This is an excellent little camera for when you need to quickly take a shot that you simply must not miss. The default settings at power up take clear and bright pictures without having to change any settings. The digital image stabilization ensures pictures are not blurred if you are in a hurry taking a snap, and the beauty shot feature adjusts any discrepencies on a persons face.

For the price, this is a great camera! In fact, it’s so good, I just had my second one stolen, within a year!! So, don’t set it down anywhere!

I bought this camera and used it for about a year before I, unfortunately, broke it. It was the best camera I have ever owned. The new camera I bought was 14.1 megapixels, but this one still beats it out in picture quality in my opinion. I love the beauty effect it has! It completely eliminates pimples and other slight imperfections. Great camera, great price!
